David
Tawney
David Tawneyis a 1980 graduate of St.
Marys High School in West Virginia. He graduated from West Virginia
University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1984. He
received his Law Degree in 1987 from Ohio Northern University College
of Law.
After graduation, Mr. Tawney worked in the United States House of Representatives
as an intern for Congressman Alan Mollohan, Democrat - West Virginia.
He also worked for the Montgomery County Maryland Office of Management
and Budget.
Mr. Tawney worked as an insurance Claims Representative for 7 years.
Upon passing the Ohio Bar, he was employed as an Associate Attorney
at Calig and Handelman in Columbus, Ohio and the Law Offices of Carl
McCoy, Newark, Ohio. He also served as an instructor at the Paralegal
Academy of Central Ohio in Newark, Ohio.
Mr. Tawney has served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Jerry
Garver YMCA, Columbus, Ohio. He is also a past Vice-President of the
Central Ohio Chapter of the West Virginia University Alumni Association.
He is also a member of the Fairfield County Bar Association, and Ohio
State Bar Association.
His other community involvements include coaching youth soccer and youth
baseball.
Mr. Tawney is a resident of Pickerington with his wife, Louis, and 2
sons Christopher, age 8, and Nathan, age 5.
In his spare time, he enjoys golf, soccer basketball, reading and trivia.
