A. Smith
Margaret "Peggy" Smith
is a 1989 graduate of Lancaster High School. She attended Ohio University
and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science, Pre-Law
in 1993. She received her Law Degree in 1998 from Capital University
Law School. She was licensed to practice law in 1998 by the Ohio Supreme
Court and licensed to practice before the United States District Court,
Southern District of Ohio in 1999.
Ms. Smith joined the firm of Linehan
& Associates in July 1999. Her areas of practice consist of Adult
Criminal Defense, Juvenile Criminal Defense, Civil Litigation, Business
Incorporation and Debtor/Creditor Representation.
Her professional memberships include the Ohio Bar Association, the Fairfield
County Bar Association, the Womens Division of the Fairfield County
Bar Association, the Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers, Columbus Bar Association,
American Bar Association, and American Academy of Trail Lawyers.
As a lifelong resident of Lancaster, Ms. Smith is proud to serve her
community through her involvement in civic organizations. She is an
executive board member of the Fairfield Heritage Association and serves
as Chairperson for the Candlelight Tour; a board member of Meals on
Wheels of Fairfield County; a board member of the Friends of the Lancaster
Parks and Recreation; and a sponsor of youth league sports.
Ms. Smith enjoys spending her free
time with two dogs, Hershey and Keesha and with her immediate family,
which includes her two nieces, Camryn and Cassidy. Her hobbies include
hiking, reading and music trivia.
