Meet the Staff

Paralegal
Piper Lockwood
Piper Lockwood first joined our team in January 2025 as a part-time legal receptionist. After graduating from The Ohio State University in May 2025 with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in Criminology, she stepped into her current full-time role as a Paralegal.
She has a particular interest in family and juvenile law—a passion first sparked during college through her sorority’s (Kappa Alpha Theta) philanthropy work with Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), supporting children in the foster care system. Piper is currently attending Columbus State Community College to earn her Paralegal Certificate.
When she’s not in the office, Piper enjoys working out, reading, and cooking.

Law Clerk
Natalie Bernhard
Natalie Bernhard is a second-year law student at Capital University Law School. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the Ohio State University in 2022. After graduation, she worked at Gurvis Personal Injury Lawyers as a Case Manager and Records Clerk. Outside of her legal education, Natalie enjoys playing volleyball, hiking, and spending time with her family.

Law Clerk
Tajah Upshaw
Tajah is a second-year law student at Capital University Law School with an expected graduation date of 2027. At Capital, she is a member of the Black Law Student Association and a Pro Bono Volunteer for The Franklin County Juvenile Court Restorative Justice Circles Program. She graduated from Bluffton University in 2021, where she studied Criminal Justice and minored in Psychology. She was Vice President of the Multicultural Student Organization, and Captain of the Women’s Soccer team. Since then, she has worked in juvenile justice, corrections, re-entry, and behavioral health.
When not working or in class, you'll probably find her on the nearest soccer field, watching reality tv, or playing with her toy poodle, Nova!
